This site is dedicated to the restoration of my 1963 Plymouth Savoy 2-door Sedan. Built in the era that cars still had some decent cubic inches and horsepower. Hail to all the Super Stock racers!

another detail.....the pitman-arm was untreated, bare steal, so very prone to rust.
I ordered RPM, from a company called ECS Automotive; bare steel part needs to be heated a little, smeared in with colorless RPM and this stuff will prevent the part from rusting, but you still keep the original bare look.
Pitman-arm is untreated, bare; the snapring and nut were cleaned and i found out that the snap-ring is black fosfated, and the nut is natural cadmium plated.
k-member will be a greyish color, instead of the original black finish;
a few k-members were bought by Chrysler from another vendor, and they painted the k-members a greyish color; as was mine. So it will be original finish again.
Leafsprings will be a silk-flat black; Max Wedge cars got the police-style leafsprings, that were black instead of untreated bare steal, like the lesser powered cars had.

measuring the positions of the marks, so they can be duplicated in a later stage of the restoration.
You can also see the dripmarks on the torsionbars; they were dipped in glossy black paint for 3-4 times; which gave them a thick coating of paint, but it also gave the bars paintruns. Will be duplicated ofcourse!
